About PACC

What is PACC?

Performing Arts on Campus Callboard (PACC) is a newsletter that compiles all the upcoming opportunities and events in Cal’s performing arts community into an email sent out each Monday morning.

We noticed that theater news was mainly shared in closed Slack channels, social media posts, and random bulletin boards across campus. This left students new to theater out of the loop and organizations scrambling for more hands.

PACC’s goal is to fill this gap and provide a consistent, accessible space for artists, technicians, organizations, and audiences to find each other.

Who is PACC for?

PACC is for everyone interested in performing arts in one way or another.

As we get started, our main focus is on theater because that’s where our team has the most experience. In the future, we hope to expand our scope to dance, music, film, and other campus artistic communities. If you are involved in these communities and would like to help PACC expand, please reach out at paccberkeley@gmail.com.

Is PACC different than the TDPS newsletter?

Although Berkeley’s Theater Dance and Performance Studies (TDPS) department also has a weekly newsletter, PACC is not affiliated with TDPS. We are an independent student group.

The TDPS newsletter includes lots of helpful information about upcoming class auditions, studio and workshop productions, departmental news, and job opportunities. However, it does not typically include information about student organizations.

PACC will sometimes overlap with the TDPS newsletter when there are opportunities for students within the department, but our main focus is on student group activities.
